Silent generator sets: specifying the quiet option
For sites where a set has to run near people: how to fix the noise requirement, specify the enclosure with the set, and have the exact model's noise figure stated in the quote.
Silent packaging is a specification decision as much as a power decision: the enclosure and its airflow path are part of the product, so specify the set as a set — model, rating and enclosure together — rather than an engine with a canopy added later. Where silent packaging earns its cost
Silent packaging is specified where a set runs near occupied space: hotels, hospitals, residential standby, events, telecom sites in built-up areas and indoor or rooftop installations with acoustic limits.
