Cummins engines, by series and listed table
Complete Cummins engines with published per-model tables — the B series at the small end, the K and QSK families at the top, and generator-drive versions listed inside each family.
The Cummins side of this catalogue is a complete-engine line with published specification tables per model, which makes it the easiest line to buy against: for most families below, the listed table gives the model variants, bore and stroke, displacement, rating and speed. Generator-drive versions (G suffix) and marine versions (GM suffix) are listed inside the same tables, so a genset project can be specified from the family page directly.
The families run from the 3.9-litre 4BT family (60–97 kW) through the 6.7-litre QSB6.7 family (99–194 kW), the C family (6CT/C8.3, 151–194 kW), the M11 family (from 228 kW), the 19-litre K19 family (335–522 kW) and up to the K38, QSK38, K50 and QSK50 families above 1,000 kW. Two catalogue tables carry displacement figures that are plainly typesetting errors (the K38 and K50 tables); do not read those figures as displacements — see the family notes.

Specifying a Cummins from the listed tables
Pick the family by displacement class and duty, then the variant by suffix. Plain variants are typically machine or industrial ratings; G variants are generator-drive ratings quoted at 1,500 or 1,800 rpm; GM variants are marine generation ratings — the marine page lists the GM series separately. A variant such as 4BTA3.9-G2 at 58 kW (1,800 rpm) and the same engine family's road or machine variant at up to 97 kW are not interchangeable offers: state your duty and running speed in the enquiry so the quote is built on the right row of the table.
One caution carried from the catalogue's own tables: the K38 table's displacement column and the K50 table's displacement column contain figures that are obviously typeset errors. This site records the power figures from those tables but does not present the erroneous column values as displacements. If displacement is a deciding factor for a K38 or K50 enquiry, confirm it for the exact model in writing before you order.
How buyers spec this line
- G = generator-drive rating, GM = marine generation rating, both listed inside family tables.
- Model sub-pages cover 4BT, 6BT, QSB6.7, 6CTA8.3, K19, QSK19, M11, QSL9 and N855.
- Confirm the rating row (speed and duty) for your variant before you order.
- Marine GM ratings are also collected on the marine generators page.
Terms on record
Listed terms on record: complete engines and power units carry a delivery window of 15–30 days and a warranty of 1 year or 1,200 hours, whichever comes first, as published in the supplier's FAQ. Confirm the exact rating, scope of supply and delivery window for your model before you order.
Buyer questions
Which Cummins family fits a 100 kW genset?
Generator-drive rows on record near that point: 4BTA3.9-G11 at 80 kW (1,800 rpm), 6BT5.9-G2 at 80 kW (1,500 rpm) or 115 kW (1,800 rpm), and the QSB6.7 G3/G4 rows at 151–185 kW (1,500 rpm). Send your required kVA, frequency and voltage and confirm the exact variant.
Do you list the X15?
An X15 model page is on record in the catalogue; its detailed table sits on that page. Ask with the full designation if the X15 is your target, and note truck-retail intent is not what this B2B catalogue is organised around.
What about QSL9 and QSZ13?
The platform listing names QSL8.9 among supplied models, and the platform Cummins group also names QSZ13. The QSL9 has its own page here; for QSZ13, ask with the full designation.
