Diesel engines, indexed by family and listed power
Every listed engine family in one index. Open the family page for the model table, then confirm the exact rating for your application before you order.
This index exists because diesel engine buying goes wrong when it starts from a bare power figure. Two engines with the same kilowatts can differ in cylinder count, bore and stroke, cooling, speed and the application the listing was written for. The family pages on this site therefore reproduce the listed specification for each model as published — and this page simply routes you to the right family before you compare numbers.
The catalogue behind this site is the supplier's own: Deutz air-cooled and water-cooled families, Cummins complete engines from the 3.9-litre B series to the 50-litre QSK50 family, Volvo Penta and Volvo construction engines, and Perkins 1000 Series and 404D-22 lines. The company states a total coverage of 3–1,000 kW for its range; several Cummins families on record list ratings above that band, which is why each family page shows its own listed figures rather than a single range claim. Always work from the family table for the model you intend to buy.

How to use this index
First, fix the application: continuous generator drive, a construction machine replacement, marine generation or an industrial pump or hydraulic pack each point at different families and different rating definitions. Second, read the family table for the models inside your power band and note the speed at which the rating is listed — a rating at 1,500 rpm and the same engine at 2,500 rpm are different offers. Third, shortlist one or two exact model designations and send them with your enquiry. Confirm the listed specification, scope of supply and delivery window for the chosen model before you place an order.
If you are replacing an existing engine, the nameplate designation matters more than the power figure: the same family can span a wide band, and mounts, cooling and controls follow the designation, not the kilowatts. Photograph the nameplate, record the full designation including suffixes, and check it against the family page. Where a model you need is not reproduced on this site, ask with the full designation — the underlying catalogue carries more model pages than are indexed here.
How buyers spec this line
- Ratings are always quoted with their listed speed — compare like with like.
- Genset-drive versions (G and GM suffixes) are listed inside their family pages, not as separate lines.
- Confirm the scope of supply (bare engine, or with radiator, control panel and baseframe as listed) before you order.
- Company-stated coverage figures carry an attribution on the About page; family tables are the buying document.
Terms on record
Listed terms on record: complete engines and power units carry a delivery window of 15–30 days and a warranty of 1 year or 1,200 hours, whichever comes first, as published in the supplier's FAQ. Confirm the exact rating, scope of supply and delivery window for your model before you order.
Buyer questions
Which brand line should I start with?
Start with the application, not the brand. For Deutz-licensed machinery and the widest parts support in this catalogue, start with the Deutz families. For generator-drive ratings across a very wide band, the Cummins families list the most genset-specific versions. Then compare the listed tables.
Can I buy one engine, or is there a minimum?
Listed minimums appear on single-product listings where published — for example MOQ 1 piece on the F4L912 and D6D listings, and MOQ 1 set on the listed Ricardo generator set. For models without a published minimum, confirm the minimum quantity in your enquiry.
Do you list every model the supplier carries?
No. The pages here cover the families and models with published catalogue data behind them. Ask with a full model designation if yours is not shown.
